Why do the 4G63 kits include only clips and no lash adjusters?Updated 19 minutes ago

Because you don't need new ones. The factory 4G63 lash adjusters already have a groove that our clip locates in, so you keep your existing lash adjusters and simply add the clips.

That's different from our other kits:

• Subaru FA/FB: the factory pivots have no groove, so the kit includes our own grooved pivots.
• Toyota G16E-GTS and Nissan SR20: the factory lash adjusters have no groove, so those kits include our own lash adjusters with a retaining groove.

Why 16 clips?

The 4G63 has 16 valves and one rocker arm per valve, so there are 16 rockers to retain: one clip for each. That's one kit for the whole engine.

Should I replace my lash adjusters while I'm in there?

If yours are worn, noisy or have a lot of kilometres on them, it's a good time to do it, because the rockers are already out. We recommend genuine Mitsubishi (OEM) lash adjusters. Our clips suit the factory lash adjusters.
